Anyone even remotely worried about replayability should just tuck that aside because you'll definitely be spending a lot of time unlocking new characters once the game launches on the Nintendo Switch, starting December 7th.Super Smash Bros. Ultimate will have a really expansive story mode, in the form of the World of Light, that seems like it will be a ton of fun to play. But that's another discussion for another time.
It's kind of disappointing that the trailer disabled the comments, because I'm sure fans of some of the characters definitely would have had a thing or two to say about Sonic not being able to outrun the beams, or certain Pokemon not being able to teleport out of the way.Įven still, out of all the characters in the game, it definitely makes sense that Kirby would be the only way to survive given that he is a galaxy-eater class hero, and in many fandom battles he outclasses even some of the strongest characters from properties like Dragon Ball Z.
It's a very similar setup to the way Nintendo had players unlocking content in Mario Tennis Aces, where you also traveled around on a world map, battled foes and unlocked new rackets, outfits, and characters.
